Waste Management key player requires professional Depot Operations Manager / Transport General Manager to drive forward a fast moving waste management and recycling operation
Role: Depot General Manager – Waste Management and Recycling Depot Operations
Salary: £38-43K plus 6K Car Allowance and Pension

Location: Yorkshire – Candidates will be considered from Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford, Harrogate, Keighley, Halifax, Dewsbury, Wakefield and the surrounding area.

ROLE / EXPERIENCE:
You will be responsible for 50+ staff and collection vehicles
You will deliver a motivated and engaged workforce and an effective service, managing all resources and staff at your disposal and working within the terms of the service levels agreed with the client.
CPC in Road Transport either National or International and a proven track record in a Waste Management, Distribution, Courier, Parcels, Multidrop, Haulage, Logistics, Recycling, Aggregates, or Quarry background
You will have a strong commercial understanding of the waste Management industry or the industry that you work within and have evidence of overachieving budgets and KPI’s.
Strong IT, communication, negotiation and presentation skills will be required.
A team player and open communicator. You will work closely with the sales division
Someone who understands the value of customer service as a key point of differentiation within the space
You will understand compliance and as Transport Manager have built strong relationships with VOSA
You may also have experience working within ISO standards.
Any COTC in waste management a plus
You MUST be committed to inspiring and enforcing a positive Health and Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available. IOSH & NEBOSH are desirable.
