YOUR PREVIOUS TITLES (not exhaustive): EFW / ERF / Energy from Waste Shift Leader, operations manager, engineering manager, maintenance manager or supervisor

 

YOUR PREVIOUS BACKGROUNDS (not exhaustive): Energy From Waste, Incineration, Power Station. Biomass, Clinical Waste Treatment, Cremation

 

LOCATION: The position is based in the Cheshire Area

 

CLIENT

 

My client is a market leading organisation in the waste management and recycling sector. They are engaged in waste management and recycling services. They have waste processing infrastructure up and down the UK which allows the processing of municipal and confidential waste streams and the conversion to clean through an incineration process.

 

ROLE

 

You will provide Technical plant performance, maintenance & engineering support to ensure that plant throughput is maintained, and downtime minimised

 

You will have dotted line management a team of employees; you will utilize strong people skills to develop a strong team ethic and good working relations.

 

You will help to ensure that the site operates within the relevant ISO’s, environmental permits and regulations.

 

You will ensure compliance with the company’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Policies and Procedures, ensuring that systems are in place to maintain safe systems of work for company and contractors staff. You will identify risks within a hazardous environment.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

A technical understanding or experience of an incineration process is required including Energy From Waste, Incineration, Power Station. Biomass, Clinical Waste Treatment, Cremation

 

Apprentice trained engineer qualified at C & G Level 3 or above in Mechanical or Electrical (wiring regs a plus) an advantage

 

Knowledge of DCS, PLC’s, SCADA, Industrial Control Systems and SAP of great benefit.

 

Health and safety qualifications IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH general or above an advantage

 

WAMITAB COTC4 in General or Hazardous an advantage
