Exciting opportunity for a skilled Supervisor / Assistant Manager to use and develop their current skill set with a waste management or Scrap Metal Recycling / WEEE background. My Client is well known name within the metals and alloy production industry. They are looking for a talented Supervisor / Assistant manager to assist in the running of their site.

Job Title: Supervisor / Assistant Manager – Waste Metal Recycling

Package: £30,000 -£35,000 + Bonus + Pension + Life cover + Mobile

Career: Fantastic opportunity for a highly- experienced individual to step up into a Senior Supervisor position. The role of Senior Supervisor will lead you to undertake an exciting and varied role, fulfilling both a man- management and hands- on position. You will be working on a busy metals manufacturing site.

Location: You will be from the following areas: Cheltenham, Stroud, Gloucester, Worcester, Cirencester, Hereford and surrounding area.

ROLE: Supervisor / Assistant Manager – Waste Metal Recycling

As Senior Supervisor, you will be undertaking a multitude of tasks and responsibilities for a busy metals processing and alloys production site.

Your duties in the Senior Supervisor position will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing the day – to – day activities of the site and looking after a small team
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures and ISO 14001 and 19001 standards are adhered to
• Maintain regular contact with the EA
• You will have responsibility for overseeing the Weighbridge
• Provide staff reviews and working as a team to achieve targets
• Be responsible for the metals and alloys coming in and off site, as well as undertaking quality checks
• You will also be involved with the commercial side of the business
• Oversee the recycling of the metals coming on to site

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Supervisor / Assistant Manager – Waste Metal Recycling

Previous experience of working in a metals processing and alloy manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

You will also have waste management or recycling experience.

For the Senior Supervisor role, you will be required to hold any of the following: NEBOSH / IOSH / WAMITAB / CPC

You must have previous experience of leading a team in a Supervisor or similar role and be confident in delegating workloads to other members of your team.

Having an understanding of materials processing is also a requirement for the role.

An understanding of metals and alloys would also be advantageous.

You will need to be a team player and be rewarded for your efforts.
