An excellent opportunity for a qualified Industrial Chemist/Shift Manager to work at the cutting edge of Hazardous Waste Management

CLIENT: My client has a strong presence in the hazardous waste management industry. They are looking to hire a Shift manager with industrial and technical experience.

 

With a strategic hazardous waste treatment facility and a wide ranging transport network they can offer these specialist services to all types of clients with a need.

 

Previous roles may include: Shift or Site Chemist/ Shift manager/ Process Chemist/Industrial Chemist/Chemical Manufacturer/ Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Site Manager

 

ROLE – Shift Manager

Overseeing the sampling and analysing of hazardous waste samples including but not limited to Ph testing, dip testing, appearance and the treatment of acids, alkalis & sludge’s.

Assist the laboratory chemists where necessary, and carry out laboratory analysis as and when required.

Management of all relevant paperwork

Preparation of validation paperwork for incoming and outgoing wastes using SAP

Ensuring compliance within Safety, Environmental and Company policy

COSHH assessments

Manager to a team of 2 operators, 1 electrician and 1 fitter.

 

Hours – Salary Negotiable

 

3 shift rotation system (Mornings, afternoons and days) Saturdays 6-12 every 3 weeks

 

EXPERIENCE – Shift Manager

 

You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel.

 

YOU WILL HAVE a minimum of HNC in Chemistry or Science related subjects which will be considered only where sufficient Chemistry modules were included.
