We are in search of a seasoned Sales Manager/Sales Engineer specializing in the promotion of capital plant equipment and industrial shredders throughout the Northern regions of the UK. As a Sales Manager, your primary responsibilities will involve propelling sales and revenue growth through the cultivation of new business prospects, management of existing accounts, and the establishment of robust customer relationships.
£40-45k basic salary plus bonus.

Home-based role with travel anticipated across the North of the UK.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within diverse sectors, including waste management, recycling, renewable energy, CHP, biomass, quarrying, aggregates, SRF or RDF production, plastic, paper, metal recycling, power generation, MBT, landfill, materials recycling facility, end-of-life vehicles, and scrap metal industries.
Foster and sustain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service, offering technical expertise, and showcasing in-depth product knowledge.
Develop and present compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction and the successful implementation of projects.
Surpass sales targets and revenue objectives.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and services.
Provide valuable feedback to management regarding market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the sale of capital plant equipment, including but not limited to shredders & shredding equipment, balers, compactors, waste handling, conveyors, recycling, Earth Moving, Diggers, Dozers, shears, screeners, trommels, cranes, optical sorting, overhead magnets, MRF equipment, turnkey MRF solutions, energy from waste/waste to energy, generators, separators, granulators, odour control, dust suppression, chippers, pelletisers, picking stations.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and cultivating new business.
Experience in selling equipment to various industries.
Technical proficiency in capital plant equipment with the ability to comprehend and communicate technical specifications to customers.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Possession of a full UK driving license.
