ROLE: Sales & Business Development Manager
PACKAGE: £40-60,000 Basic plus £20,000 Bonus, Car, Pension & Healthcare

My client is a leader organisation in the construction waste and recycling sector. With their own sites, recycling MRFs (Materials Recovery Facilities), Transfer Stations and Transport facilities they can offer a full and comprehensive waste management and recycling service to all customers in the London an Greater London areas
PREVIOUS WASTE STREAM EXPERIENCE: Construction, Demolition, Asbestos Removal, Muckaway, Plastic, Metal, Plasterboard, Aggregate, Soil
LOCATION: This position is based in Greater London and Home Counties / South East area
ROLE & EXPERIENCE
You will be:
A rounded waste management professional with a bias towards sales and business development
An excellent account manager able to cultivate long term relationships upselling and cross selling within a mature database of existing clients within the building and construction sector
A new business developer – able to source and develop new business with large scale building and civil engineering projects in and around the London area
Involved in the tender writing process
Well-connected in the London / South East area
Working closely with the board of directors in order to set a clear and dynamic sales strategy moving forward
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the need for quality input material for the MRFs and have a good understanding of operations, logistics and processing techniques involved in order to produce saleable commodities of output recyclates
Entrepreneurial and able to find homes for the output material from the MRFs
Have a good understanding of health and safety and compliance within the waste management sphere
Working with the Environment Agency and talking with their representatives where need be
Once you have proven successful and brought in up to £1million of work you will be given the chance to build a team around you
EXPERIENCE
You should have touched upon all the areas described above through your career but with a clear focus on sales and business development
IOSH / NEBOSH helpful but not essential
COTC4 / WAMITAB or CIWM Status again helpful but not essential
