Role Overview:
In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve sourcing biomass and recycled wood for use in renewable energy-generating power stations located in the West Midlands. You will collaborate closely with waste wood suppliers to maintain strong relationships and uphold the quality of recycled biomass supply.
Your key objective is to continually onboard new suppliers, particularly waste wood producers, on favourable commercial terms. This will ensure a consistent supply of biomass as demand surges over the next five years. You will engage in daily interactions with in-house operations teams, including those responsible for transport, processing, and energy.
Experience Requirements:
Your background may encompass various specializations within waste management. Essential for this role are account management, commercial, and business development experience. Ideally, you should combine this with an understanding of waste operations, such as knowledge of materials recovery facilities (MRFs), solid recovered fuel (SRF) or refuse-derived fuel (RDF) production sites, recycling, energy-from-waste, or renewable energy operations. Additionally, experience in operational or compliance-focused roles is a plus.
