Project Manager – Waste Projects with Strong Commercial Background
Salary: Up to £70,000 – £80,000, including Car Allowance, Expenses, Pension & Benefits
Location: UK Wide – Flexible Base with Regular Travel and Overnight Stays

Role:
Join a UK industry leader as a Project Manager responsible for overseeing waste and recycling projects across the nation. Lead a team of contractors, directing both technical and commercial aspects, and contributing to new business development.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Coordination of projects of varying sizes and types.
Technical and commercial guidance for projects, including new business initiatives.
Delivery of technical reports, commercial planning, and feasibility assessments.
Client engagement, along with managing contractor relationships.
Experience:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Significant experience in project development and management within the waste management and recycling sector.
Commercial expertise, including tendering, forecasting, and client-facing business development.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Familiarity with Design and Build EPC/EPCm contracts.
Over 3 years of project management experience, managing multiple projects concurrently.
Demonstrated ‘end to end’ program management capabilities.
Relevant qualifications such as a professional Engineering or Construction qualification.
Certifications such as PMP or Prince2 (desirable).
APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)
IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
Previous roles such as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Construction Manager, or Engineering Project Manager align well with this opportunity.
Ideal Experience in Similar Roles:
Experience within a similar role, particularly involving the development of Power Generation facilities, within sectors such as Energy from Waste, Biogas, Anaerobic Digestion, Nuclear, CHP, Generators, Incineration, Wind Turbines, Biomass, Power Stations, AD, EfW, ERF, Autoclaves, Land Fill Gas, MBT (Mechanical Biological Treatment), and Chemical Plants would be advantageous.
