A COMMITTED AND EXPERIENCED WASTE MANAGEMENT OR PAPER MILL RECYCLING OPERATIONS MANAGER IS REQUIRED FOR A PEOPLE-FOCUSED COMPANY
TITLE: Operations Manager – Waste Paper & Card Recycling

LOCATION: You will be based between Manchester and Leeds on the M62, Huddersfield area
Our client is looking for a waste management or paper mill recycling professional with a background in the paper and card recycling sector to oversee transport & logistics, front-end processing and commercial feedstock management. You may have worked in the sector as an: Operations Manager, General Manager, Recycling Manager, Area Manager, Depot Manager, Regional Manager, Logistics Manager
ROLE: Operations Manager – Waste Paper & Card Recycling
You will manage several functions in the recycling operation:
Commercial development / ensuring feedstock is available
Transport, management of collections and waste movements via a Transport Manager
Logistics and from end process – management of incoming waste paper and cardboard material via supervisory team
Financial – P&L reporting, budget management
Management of circa 2 dozen staff, via a supervisory / management team
EXPERIENCE: Operations Manager – Waste Paper & Card Recycling
You will have experience in the waste paper and card recycling sector or in a recycling function of a paper mill, or at the minimum, the general waste and recycling sector where you have dealt with recycled paper as a commodity.
You will have demonstrable good examples of man management
You will be committed to health and safety and driving your staff towards a safer working environment. IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are ideal but training can be provided
Ideally you will have a Transport CPC
Qualifications such as a COTC / WAMITAB or degree are welcome but not essential
You will have had full P&L Management responsibility
You will have worked in the Waste & Recycling sector as an Operations Manager, General Manager, Recycling Manager, Area Manager, Depot Manager, Regional Manager, Logistics Manager
