MAINTENANCE MANAGER / ENGINEERING MANAGER REQUIRED TO DELIVER EFFECTIVE PPM PROGRAMS AND REDUCE DOWNTIME AND LEAD A TEAM OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS / ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS
ROLE: Maintenance & Engineering Manager
PACKAGE: £40-50K plus Pension
PREVIOUS TITLES (not exhaustive): Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, Plant Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader
LOCATION: You will be located within the Calne, Marlborough or Avebury Area
YOUR PREVIOUS BACKGROUNDS (not exhaustive): Waste management, quarry, mining, chemical manufacture, oil, gas, off shore, plastics recycling, paper recycling, chemical, food (e.g. flour, sugar, cereals) power station, Biomass, Wood Recycling, EfW, Energy From Waste, IVC, waste management, automotive, cement, paper, concrete block, brick, quarry, gypsum, glass, mining, automotive, mineral processing, aggregates or similar production or heavy industry environment.
ROLE – Maintenance / Engineering Manager
You will have responsibility for the engineering of a fast-paced operation and a team of Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers
You will deliver and optimise PPM schedules.
You will deliver operational cost saving measures, and improvements in efficiency and have experience managing maintenance budgets and spares.
You will project manage alterations to site equipment and commission new equipment, manage downtime and outages.
You MUST be committed to inspiring and enforcing a positive Health and Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available IOSH & NEBOSH are desirable.
EXPERIENCE – Engineering / Maintenance Manager
You will have experience as Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager or may be an aspiring Maintenance supervisor or Engineering Team Leader, provided you have been responsible for an engineering team.
C & G, HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline Electrical, C & I, Mechanical or Process is desirable however a proven track record of improving plant performance will be the overriding factor
You will ideally have had responsibility for a maintenance budget.
Experience in a production or processing, heavy industry or heavy manufacturing environment is ideal.
Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH essential
Usage of lean techniques (5 Whys, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, RCA, 8D, TPM, SMED/POKE YOKE, SPC Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt Etc., 5S, Just in Time, Kanban, 7 Wastes,) to optimise and improve throughput and reduce downtime.
