ROLE: Laboratory Chemist – Hazardous Waste Management Site Technician
PACKAGE: £23,000 – 28,000 depending on experience and exposure to the sector

ROLE: Laboratory Chemist – Hazardous Waste Management Site Technician
This role is mainly lab based but you will be expected to assist the Site Chemists in the yard on occasions where the workload dips or absence in their team requires it.
Taking and analysing hazardous waste samples including liquids (including acids, alkalis, oils, petrol, effluent, and diesel), industrial services, coatings, paints, thinners.
Running tests including XRF & Karl Fischer / Titration
Management of all relevant paperwork
Ensuring compliance within Safety, Environmental and Company policy
COSHH assessments
EXPERIENCE: Laboratory Chemist – Hazardous Waste Management Site Technician
You will have experience in a working environment that handles and tests hazardous waste or chemicals using processes such as XRF and Karl Fischer / Titration
You will have experience working in the Hazardous waste sector as a Transfer Station Site Chemist, Technical Assessor or Technical Support Chemist
You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.
YOU WILL HAVE a HNC in Chemistry or higher (other sciences unfortunately will not be considered)
On top of the above qualification the following experience or training is essential:
