Excellent Field Service Engineer with experience working on large engines or generators required to join major player within the Waste Management and Recycling industry.
TITLE: Field Service Technician – Generators / CHP
CLIENT: My client is one of the UK’s largest Waste Management and Recycling companies who are continuously growing and adding to their talent pool. They are now looking for a skilled Landfill and Biomethane Gas Engine Technician / Engineer to join their busy team.
PACKAGE: Up to £35,000 without Landfill or Anaerobic Digestion Experience or £39,000 with, plus Company Vehicle, benefits and pension.
YOU MAY HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A: Anaerobic Digestion plant Maintenance Technician, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Technician, LGV Fitter, Landfill Gas Engine Technician, Genset Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, CHP Technician
LOCATION: Taunton area
ROLE: Field Service Technician – Generators / CHP
You will be involved with PPM schedules and attending call outs at sites across your patch.
You will be on hand to respond to breakdown of machinery and undertaking maintenance to prevent further downtime of equipment.
You will also work to ensure that down time is reduced to kept in line with company expectations.
Liaise with contractors regarding work undertaken and completing work within agreed timelines.
Ensure that all environmental legislation is complied to and all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
EXPERIENCE: Field Service Technician – Generators / CHP
You will have experience working on engines as a Vehicle mechanic, HGV Technician or a service engineer on generators or landfill gas engines. Experience with CAT, Jenbacher or Cummins generators would be highly desirable.
You will be able to fault find strip and rebuild engines
You will be a qualified in mechanical engineering or as a vehicle or HGV technician, or you may have a background in agricultural engineering or Anaerobic Digestion
You will have a good working knowledge of machine maintenance, diagnostics and engine repairs.
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK Driving Licence is required.
