Environmental Consultant – Site Permitting

An established Waste Management Consultancy with a large presence in the sector is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to assist with client permitting plans. As part of a growing consultancy team, you will manage your own client list and carry out desk studies and site visits to issue site permitting. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic company

£40-65k DOE, plus benefits including mileage, pension, laptop, healthcare, and mobile.

You may be Senior through to Associated Director level

LOCATION: Warrington

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Relevant Environmental Science degree
Experience in preparing applications for Environmental Permits
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience liaising with the EA and building a good working relationship
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and own transport for site visits
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

Candidates with previous experience in Permitting, Planning, Water, Waste Management, Land Remediation, Environment, Recycling, and Compliance are encouraged to apply. Previous job titles may include Environmental Consultant, Permitting Manager, Land Risk Assessor, Hydrogeological Impacts Assessor, Project Manager, Flood Risk Surveyor, or Remediation Consultant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Environmental Consultant, you will use your technical knowledge to characterise land quality, undertake risk assessments, and deliver commercially effective and sustainable solutions. You will keep up to date with relevant legislation, government guidance, and current research to comply with legislative, health and safety, risk assessment, and liability issues. Working independently and as part of a team, you will carry out site investigations and assessments to provide reports supporting planning and permit applications. You will ensure company regulations are adhered to during site visits and complete necessary paperwork.
