Compliance Manager – Planning and Permitting
An exciting new role in the Waste Management sector. My client is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to assist them with permitting plans as they grow the company.

LOCATION: Travel will be required across the South West – you may be located anywhere in Devon


Experience in preparing applications for Environmental Permits and Local permit applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience liaising with the EA and building a good working relationship
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
WAMITAB COTC – Preferably non hazardous
Full UK driving licence and own transport for site visits

PIEMA or equivalent
Relevant Environmental Science degree
Member of the Charted Institution of Wastes Management (MCIWM)
Candidates with previous experience in Permitting, Planning, Water, Waste Management, Land Remediation, Environment, Recycling, and Compliance are encouraged to apply. Previous job titles may include Environmental Consultant, Compliance Manager, Permitting Manager, Land Risk Assessor, Hydrogeological Impacts Assessor, Project Manager, Flood Risk Surveyor, or Remediation Consultant.


As the Compliance Manager, you will use your technical knowledge to characterise land quality, undertake risk assessments, and deliver commercially effective and sustainable solutions. You will keep up to date with relevant legislation, government guidance, and current research to comply with legislative, health and safety, risk assessment, and liability issues. Working independently and as part of a team, you will carry out site investigations and assessments to provide reports supporting planning and permit applications. You will ensure company regulations are adhered to during site visits and complete necessary paperwork.
