UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR METAL RECYCLING SALES, COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST TO SOURCE AND BUY SCRAP METAL MATERIAL WHICH IS USUALLY CONSIDERED A “HARD TO RECYCLE” WASTE STREAM. THIS IS THEN RE-PROCESSED BACK TO A VALUABLE RAW MATERIAL.
Would suit a Scrap Metal Buyer, Trader; Sales or Commercial Manager or Business Development Manager
Ideally you will be experienced in metal recycling, however if you are looking to break into this lucrative part of the sector from other parts of the waste management and recycling industry then training is provided.
Examples would include paper, plastic, polymer, fibre, board or cardboard recycling.
ROLE: Business Development Manager
PACKAGE: £30-60k Basic (Totally Negotiable Depending on Experience), Commission, Car, Laptop and Mobile with support from head office and company directors
CAREER: The company is constantly growing and options are available for career development over time
LOCATION: This position will be home based covering the Midlands and North of England
Our client is well regarded in the metals industry and have undertaken serious investment in stat of the art processing equipment which gives them competitive advantage and allows them to deal with scrap that other organisations cannot. You will be sourcing this material.
You will be required to succeed in an autonomous, self-managing environment
You will source material in bulk from scrap metal merchants and recycling yards
The directors know exactly where to go for this material and you will be given significant guidance on the best sources and outlets
Simultaneously you will build and identify your own target companies for sourcing and buying material
Ideally you will come with sales, commercial and business development experience from within the scrap and metal recycling sector
However if you have worked in the wider waste management sector and have operated with any of the following job titles:
Sales Manager, Material Sourcer, Buyer, Trader, Procurement Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Commercial Manager then you will be considered
Be able to work autonomously in a field based role
Be highly motivated
Be confident and professional
Be a seasoned strong negotiator with the ability to strike profitable pricing arrangements
